Edge and Vibe: the tween and teen clubs, compared

How Edge (ages 11–14) and Vibe (ages 14–17) on Deck 7 differ, and what each one offers older kids.

Two clubs for two age groups

Younger children have the Oceaneer Club. Older kids have two separate spaces, both on Deck 7, split by age:

  • Edge is the tween club, for ages 11–14. ("Tween" means the in-between years — too old for the little-kids club, not yet a teenager.)
  • Vibe is the teen club, for ages 14–17.

The split matters. An 11-year-old and a 17-year-old want very different things, and Disney keeps them apart on purpose. Fourteen is the overlap age: a 14-year-old picks one club for the whole sailing rather than moving between both. Explore both at the embarkation-day open house and decide based on your teen's maturity and where their friends or siblings are.

Both clubs are supervised by Disney's youth staff and, like the rest of the kids clubs (the nursery aside), are included in your cruise fare with no hourly charge.

The big difference is independence. Edge is a guided, activity-led club — closer in spirit to the younger-kids program, just for older tastes. Vibe is more of a hangout teenagers can come and go from, with programming built around socializing rather than supervision.

What each one offers

Both clubs are tucked along San Fransokyo Street on Deck 7 behind playful fake storefronts:

  • Edge (behind the "Edge of the Bay Café" front) is a lounge-style hangout for tweens — TVs and console gaming, a corner with a couch and table for card and board games, a refreshment station, and tables for arts and crafts. Programming runs to creative activities, group games, and dance parties.
  • Vibe (behind the "Vibe Records" storefront) is a retro, record-store-themed teen lounge with a DJ booth, ping-pong and foosball tables, gaming TVs, and comfy lounge seating with a drinks fridge. Programming includes ship-wide adventures, trivia, and video-game competitions. Note that, unlike Disney's larger ships, the Adventure's Vibe does not have its own private outdoor sun deck.

Hours and how older kids check in

Tween and teen clubs on Disney ships typically run from late morning into the night, often later than the younger-kids club (the fleet norm is roughly 10am to midnight). Exact daily hours for Edge and Vibe on Disney Adventure are published in the Navigator app — check there once aboard.

Both clubs are open-house style: once registered, tweens and teens can come and go. Children 8 and older can be given self sign-in/out privileges by a parent at registration, letting them leave on their own without an adult; you set those rules when you register, and you stay in touch through the Navigator app's chat.

A few practical notes:

  • Register before you sail so your tween or teen can use the club from day one without queuing.
  • Set the rules early. Decide what sign-in/out freedom your child gets and tell the staff at registration.
  • Encourage a first visit on day one. Older kids who walk in early tend to find their group before friendships harden.

Add Edge and Vibe to your pre-cruise checklist so older kids aren't an afterthought next to the little ones.
